Playing without an account

Free Play, your stats, your settings and your avatar choice are stored only on your device. To get the daily puzzles, the app downloads them from our server. Like any web server, it briefly sees your IP address and basic request details in standard logs.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and only needed to join the leaderboards. We use Sign in with Apple and receive a stable account identifier from Apple. We don't ask Apple for your name or email address. We then store:

• your account identifier;
• the nickname and avatar you choose;
• your results for daily puzzles and ranked Free Play puzzles: date, level, time, number of hints and points earned;
• for ranked Free Play, the puzzle's seed and board, so we can check that results are genuine.

While you're signed in, the app also asks our server for puzzle seeds, which is what makes a Free Play puzzle count toward the leaderboards.

Your nickname, avatar, times, points and streak are shown publicly on the leaderboards. Nothing else about you is public.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No third-party analytics.
• No selling or sharing of your data with anyone except the service providers below, who run the service for us.

Vercel (hosting), Neon (database) and Apple (Sign in with Apple).

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account and results while your account exists. You can delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Delete account), which permanently removes your account, nickname and results. Data on your device is removed when you delete the app.

Children

Queens is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
